HOW TO ORDER

You can use the shopping cart if you are wanting to pay online and have your goods delivered or collect in person. If you wish to pay me when you collect, please email me on mercy@home-plants.com.

There is no minimum order.

PAY BY CARD ONLINE
I accept most credit & debit cards.
Enter your card details for secure online processing by Stripe or PayPal (you do not need an account with them). 

COLLECTION IN PERSON

If you want to buy plants and collect them from me in person you can either pay online (as above); or you can pay me when you collect them. I can take payment by cash and most cards in person.

IF YOU WANT TO PAY WHEN YOU COLLECT, PLEASE EMAIL ME DIRECTLY.

VOUCHER CODES & GIFT CARDS

I occasionally offer voucher codes or gift cards to be entered at the checkout. These are to be used in accordance with the information provided at time of issue.

TRADING POLICIES

I try to source all my goods as ethically as I can, while providing value for money. As I do not have large premises it is not possible to visit, but if you have any queries, please do get in touch.

After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation by e-mail. In the unlikely event of an item being out of stock or if there is a query, I will contact you by phone or e-mail.

If an item you have ordered is out of stock, I will offer you a refund. 

I reserve the right to change prices and/or product availability at any time without notice.

Natural variability
Plants are by nature individual living entities; they are therefore subject to variation. Tillandsia are especially prone to odd colour variations depending on their maturity. If you are worried that you have received the wrong one, please contact me. 

I cannot guarantee that my plants are not poisonous to humans or pets. While I have experienced no problems and nor has my cat; it may be that you, your family, friends and pets have sensitivities or allergies. 

Advice
Any advice given on my website, by telephone or email is intended purely as a guide and is given in good faith. It is assumed that the customer will apply their own judgement and good sense.

ORDER PROCESSING AND DELIVERY

Orders under £10 in value : £3.40 per order

Items are despatched within 1 to 3 working days

Delivery takes about 1 to 2 working days from despatch

The delivery charge above applies to packages under 5Kg. I may contact you for additional delivery fees (charged at cost) for heavy orders.

Most orders are sent by first class Royal Mail which takes 1-2 working days from despatch. Parcels over about 5Kg within mainland Britain are usually sent by courier, depending on size and postcode, taking 1-2 days (Highlands and islands may take a few days longer).
Delivery may occasionally take longer than stated due to circumstances outside my control. 

Please note you may be required to sign for your delivery. If you are not likely to be home, you are welcome to give a work or other delivery address. Couriers will often refuse to leave a parcel without a signature.

Customers asking for deliveries to be left unattended e.g. on the step or in a greenhouse do so at their own risk. I may not agree to refund or replace undelivered items in these circumstances.

Please note it is the customers responsibility to provide a valid delivery address. I will not accept liability if a parcel is lost due to an incorrect address or postcode supplied by the customer.

Orders from elsewhere inside the EC
I don’t accept orders from outside the UK. The amount of time a plant spends n the post is extended by distance, so you are more likely to receive a happy, healthy plant if you buy near home. Tillandsia are widely available in EU countries, you will find the shipping cost and times more attractive in your home country.

Orders from outside the EC
I am unable to send plant matter outside the EC due to import/export restrictions, as this represents the bulk of my business, I only offer digital downloads outside the UK.

DELIVERIES NOT RECEIVED

If you have not received a confirmation email and have checked your spam filter, it is likely that your order was not completed due to a payment error and you were not charged. Please contact me to check.

Privacy Policy

I respect the privacy of my customers. 
Personal data is collected on this site for order processing. This is dealt with in accordance with the Data Protection Act. It will not be sold or passed on to a third party.

If you opt in to the newsletter, your email details will be stored in MailChimp – you will be asked to confirm that you have opted in, and you can opt out (unsubscribe) whenever you want.

I ask for your name, address, contact details and method of payment.
I may contact you by phone or e-mail if there is a query with your order.

You may receive occasional e-mails from me to inform you of product availability, shipping information, registered customer information, news and offers.

If you wish to be removed from my customer list or newsletter list, e-mail me and I will arrange it as soon as possible.

Cookies – are necessary for the shopping cart software to work. I use them to track the contents of your cart if you have selected an item, in accordance with Cookies Laws. I also use Google Analytics to track anonymous customer habits such as how long visitors stay on the site, how many pages they look at before they leave and which country they are from. This all enables me to learn what people want and work towards providing it for them.

Spam – your e-mail and billing address, phone number and any other personal information will not be passed on to a third party.
